Thread: Escher Colors

In MO meeting Randy had 2 escher stones which both were stunning. You could clear see the colors changing from gray to green. i even couldn't stop myself to ask Randy you may sell one heheehh.(wasn't drunk ether.)
i do hope Randy will post that 2 stones pictures in here.
Another one i saw it was Lynn's Escher . it had Brand new label. that was amazing stone too.
all i think was 10 inch ones.
hope they will post picture of them in here.

Yeah, I never thought I would see a two sided escher stone...

i just aquired a Barber's Delight. (anyone have any comments on this one?)
seems like it might be a yellow green. i'll check it out under different light.

the hone and slurry stone seem to be cut from the very same peice of stone, and it fades to a more blueish colour half way through,fairly dark (maybe not quite the 'dark blue', i dont know). it's almost a shame they put a lable on the back side (which is in almost perfect condition, if it werent for the dried slurry on the side of the stone i would have wondered if it was NOS, the box itself is a little tattered but holding together.).

I had one 'barber's delight' that was a yellow/green in mint condition and sold it to a member in the UK. Kept the y/g I hone with which isn't as cosmetically as nice, no box or matching slurry stone but it does the job. Post some pix of it with half wet and half dry on a neutral background. It is hard to tell from photos but whatever the color is, they are all extra good IME.

I just want to say that I recently got a dark blue Escher (during the summer months) and I love it. The thing I just found is that even though the old thuringian I have is small (The ones in the wooden latch case) it is lighter in color and it DOES indeed bring the edge further than my dark blue Escher does.
