    I was thinking Arkansas until I saw the cleavage

    maybe a TOS?

    No way is that a TOS.

    The way it cleaves and the amalgamated/mixed rather than uniform surface look to it gives it a lot of similarities to one of my X's:

    I was told by someone that mine is a slate stone of some form or another. I thought mine was a marble of some kind, but it's much harder than a marble floor tile.

    ...what does TOS mean?
    Second, it kindof has the coloring of a Charnley Forest stone...frankly.

    How does the surface feel? is it glass smooth, or does it have a fine grain feel on it?
