What's the minimum honing angle that can be honed?
What is the lowest honing angle that can succesfully be honed?
On average, honing angles seem to be around 15 degrees.
Can something like 11 degrees still successfully be honed for shaving purposes?

Bevel will be longer and edge will broke down easily. as less as angle you get bevel will go wider fragile

Depending on the steel characteristics, at some limiting bevel angle the edge would become so thin that it would be brittle and flake easily. Likewise, the other extreme would be where the edge is so thin that it cannot be pressed against the hone surface because it just bends into a thin, elastic fin tangent to the hone.

yea I don't think its a matter so much of how low an angle can be honed. If you have the right hones and a steady hand and a light touch you could probably get down pretty low but when you tried to shave with it the edge wouldn't last and might just crumble on you.

11 degrees won't work, because I tried 12 degrees and the razor only lasted through half the shave. A lot depends on how hard the steel is, but 13 degrees works for some razors, and 14 degrees should work for most razors.
