Thumbs up GFT Sandalwood Skin Food

Since my Coral Skin Food is running low, I thought I'd email Trumper and request a sample of their new Sandalwood flavored Skin Food (along with some Lime SF for good measure). They replied within a day and I had my samples within a week. I'm impressed with the service.

I tried the Sandalwood Skin Food this morning. I was worried that the scent might be heavy and sweet like their Sandalwood Shave Cream. However, I was pleased to find the scent very light and dry. Its not as strong up front as the Coral version and the scent was gone within several minutes and didn't clash with my cologne.

Not everyone is a fan of the Skin Food experience, but I find the product effective on cool semi-dry days like we're having now. I use Skin Food after my alcohol splash and it provides just enough moisture without being greasy. If you're a GFT Skin Food fan and looking for something new, give this one a try. They did a good job with it.

I agree with Jnich67. The new Sandalwood rounds out the Trumpers skin food choices rather nicely. While the scent does not hang around for long, it matches up well with certain creams or soaps and colognes. Works just like Coral and Limes skin foods, just with the different scent, which I find myself reaching for more and more.

This is the email I used. It took them about a day to get back to me.

    Thumbs up

I bought a small jar of GFT's Lime SF at the shop in london last week but did not try it until a couple of hours ago. Should not have waited. I used it as an aftershave balm not as part of my preparation as they recommend. I'll leave that until next time

9 1/2 / 10 Gorgeous fresh scent & smooth & very cooling on the skin. Not sure how it works on razor burn because I did not get any. I think this is due to use of the Lime shave soap. Normally, my face burns for at least 30 minutes. It totally rocks & is now my go to aftershave treatment. The only niggle I have is the price. £12 is a bit steep for 200ml. But quality always costs.

I got the sandalwood on my recent trip to London. It's excellent. Spike, you should try it as a pre-shave. It works excellent that way.

Bytheway I only baid 9,50 pounds for the small bottle. Maybe they lowered the price.
