Thread: Vaseline Cocoa Butter Body Lotion

The last time I bought a straight razor from Ross Cutlery, one of the store owners recommended that I try Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Body Lotion. It is inexpensive and works very well as an after shave balm. I also have the Sandalwood balm from the Art of Shaving and it is very good.

So tell us more. What kind of scent does it have? Is it greasy when you put it on? Is it absorbed by the skin? How does it compare to other after shave preps you have used? Is it more liquidy or more like a paste?

The last time I went for a shave at my old barber, he used cocoa butter as an ASB. Smell was nice, and it did keep my skin moist. I was a little concerned about it making me break out though, so it got washed off once I got home.
