Thread: True Sandalwood wanted...

Can anyone point me towards any Aftershave, cologne or deodorant that is True Sandalwood, not something infused with anything else? Thanks and God Bless! Ray

Do a search for Sandalwood Essential oil and make your own. I think that generally, Indian Sandalwood is the true original scent, but it is getting expensive. I am not sure if you can actually find a 100% true bottle of cologne.

George F Trumper do some colognes that are close but even theirs is not 100% true I understand. It is a very powerful scent on its own and that is why many perfumiers soften or sweeten the sandalwood with something else. I found Trumpers to be to strong for my tastes. I'm told that Crabtree and Evelyn do a good one but I thought it smelt too sweet.

You could also do a search on the Shavemyface.com forum, they are pretty good on their knowledge of scents.

The closest thing I've been able to find is Floris Sandalwood EDt - of course, its been discountinued. You might be able to find some left-over bottles here and there. Its a very warm sandalwood scent that stays close to the skin.
