    Default Pinaud Clubman

I found this stuff to have a rancid scent that clings all day. I dislike it immensely.

If your going to dis a product you need to more fully discuss it. Shave lotions do other things besides smelling agreeable or not. We get you don't like the scent. How about how long the scent lingers and does the product provide any protection to your skin or does it burn when you apply or contain any conditioner.

Yeppers, I have the others also in the Clubman line...

Scent wise the Bay Rum and the Vanilla are my personal favs but heck that is just what I like.... The wife likes the Lilac Vegetal on me, but I can't stand it for at least 30 minutes after I put it on LOL

    Thumbs up

well if we are going to discuss Clubman Pinaud then let me start by saying this is one of my favorite old school barber scents. I love it. It gets a full 10 on scent.

Packaging: i love the old school packaging. It always has its own space on my sink.

Price: cheap, cheap, cheap. Need I say more. Like $6 or $7 bucks at my local walgreens.

Burn/Bite: plenty of bite and a nice sting when needed.

Moisturising: could be better but I always use an ASB before. I mostly splash the Clubman Pinaud just because I find the scent addicting.

Scent: The scent of Pinaud Clubman is really addicting to my nostrils. Both my wife and the dog approve too. It's a love or hate thing I guess just like Tabac. YMMV.

Overall: It's a cheap, wonderful old school barber scent that brings back memories. At least it does to me.

    Talking Love It

I'm with Max and others who really like Pinaud Clubman. In fact,it's probably my favorite A/S splash.Old timey scent that hangs in there and a pleasant face tightening sensation I don't get from many others.Packaging is o.k..Price is a beautiful thing and it's available everywhere.

Just like max, I too like this product. It brings me back to the scents one used to get when hanging around barbershops waiting for the barber to call you to the chair. I don't know if this alone is the overwwhelming factor in me liking it so much , but I'm sure it helps. Like Glen I also have their other products and like them too.

    I also dislike the smell.

I tried it and it lasted way too long for my displeasure. I suppose if you like the stuff thats a good thing.

I dont think it had any moisturizing effect what so ever.

The burn or bite, didn't really experience anything more than a nice cooling feeling. Kinda liked that!

It came in a cheap plastic bottle, this probably keeps the cost down.

Overall, I didn't like it. This is why I have been giving it all away.

The soaps on the other hand are nice when combined with a shaving cream, a little glycerin and I make a uberlather....

    Default I love it.

Reminds me of my grandfather. It's in my rotation and it'll stay there for a long time.

To the OP, don't you think the word "rancid" would be more aptly used to describe a septic tank or a rotting corpse, or maybe a bad 90's punk band?
