Edwin Jagger "Aloe Vera" Aftershave Lotion
Our esteemed member ben.mid recently treated me to a few samples of shaving equipment he uses himself. Contained therein was a sample of http://www.straightrazorplace.com/fo...ing-cream.html which looked eerily familiar. Although both creams are apparently produced by Klar, there are subtle differences between the products. I liked Jagger's shaving cream better. So let us see how the aftershave lotion fares. Here is what Edwin Jagger say about their product:
Packaging: The cardboard box is elegant in the same way Castle Forbes' boxes are. Black with subdued colours. The Aloe Vera is a dark green (sea buckthorn is orange, the sandalwood dark red). The lotion itself comes in an Edwin Jagger branded, matt black glass dispenser. It is the most efficient, stylish, and elegant of its kind I have seen so far. It is taking pride of place in my bathroom now, along with the Jagger cream tubs. I simply love their design.
Price: Now here comes the beauty part (many thanks to Ben for the tip!): The GBP is at a low. All of a sudden, English products are actually dirt cheap. I paid GBP 15 for the 100ml bottle at The Gentleman's Shop ("TGS"). Ordered on Tuesday, well protected package arrived yesterday. Perfect! TGS offer a lot of good products, so the Europeans may want to take a look at their site, as shopping within the EU eliminates potential customs issues we all have been experiencing when buying from US shops ("What do you mean, you want to shave with this thing? It's clearly a collector's item. That will be EUR 25, Sir.")
Burn/Bite: None at all. It is the second most soothing aftershave balm I have tried so far, beaten only by XPEC's, which comes at a much higher price. But it beats Castle Forbes'. Impressive.
Moisturising: Aloe Vera is acknowledged as a soothing and natural preparation for sensitive skin with properties that help to protect, repair and replenish. The lotion leaves the skin refreshed and supple. No traces of grease or oil.
Scent: The same as that of the cream, only less strong. The fragrance is delicate and restrained. I like it a lot, and if you like fresh scents, it might be for you.
Overall: A very nice aftershave lotion with a light, fresh scent. A fantastic packaging. A great price. Gentlemen, we have a winner. Highly recommended.

Thanks Robin,
I really liked this too. It leaves your skin feeling fantastic. I know this is the most subjective area, but I love the scent of it! Thanks for taking the time do do another review.
