Crabtree & Evelyn Post-Shave Relief
This is by far my favorite way to soothe myself after shaving. Unfortunately it seems to be unavailable in the US online store now, but you can still get it online. Also, it's listed on the Hong Kong website for HK$245, though that's roughly $19.
Anywho, there is very little odor to it. No artificial color; it's just a creamy beige (points for getting that obscure reference). It's thick and pleasant, and, like any great product, lasts forever. I squeeze about 1/8in out of the tube and I'm set. No re-applying, no drying out. It doesn't stop bleeding like some other after-shaves and might not even be antiseptic, but it sure does feel nice. It feels like dipping your face in heavy cream. Not that I've done that. Nope.
The lotion comes in a silver tube that's pretty heavy and is metallic in feel. Easy enough to dispense, though it also comes with a key-like mechanism for squeezing the tube evenly. That wasn't so useful to me, personally.
I bought mine along with a face-scrub for under $15 total, but it's worth it if you have to pay $20 or even $30. I've had much less effective post-shaving products that cost more than $30, but this is the only one in that range that I would consider worth the price. Of course, if you can get it for $8-10 then jump at the chance.
