Alraz ASB
I thought I would sing a little praise here for Alraz's new ASB.
First off the scents are just like the Bomb so if you like them I'd recommend.
The packaging is what you'd come to expect fro Al a simple brown bottle to match your simple brown jar of Bomb. I like simple packaging.
The price is great, just like your cream it takes very little, just a drop or two. I took a half point off because it takes so little that it is easy to use too much and it feels a little oily for a little while.
The bite on this cream is very low for me. I like bite in my splashes not my balms so this works great for me. I don't know if that means high numbers or low, but I hope I did that right.
The moisturising quality of this balm is superb, but I did take off a point because if I use a high moisturising soap and a witch hazel with some moisturising qualities then that is when this product can be easily over applied.
Overall this is quickly becoming one of my favorite balms. I even appreciate that it comes in my favorite scent. I am now finding myself reaching for this balm most of the time. I even find myself using it as a touch up scent and lotion throughout the day.

Al's Patchouli ASB
Packaging: Al's ASB comes in a brown plastic 2 oz. squeeze bottle. I would have given it a 10 except that the ASB is a bit on the thicker side and I would have loved it more if it were packaged in a smaller 2oz. container like the shave cream.
Price: The price is in line with the high quality of this ASB. I have no issues with the price that Al charges for his ASB.
Burn/Bite: I gave this a n/a as there is no burn/bite with this ASB. IIRC, Al's ASB has no alcohol in it. But, you may want to check with him if you have any known allergies to other skin care ingredients.
Moisturizing: This is where Al's ASB really shines. I have dry skin with a mild form of rosacea. Even with a couple of drops of his ASB I can pretty much cover my face and neck area with no dryness or greasiness post-application and my skin stays moisturized and supple throughout the day. With other ASBs that I have tried, I have had to reapply them during the day or supplement with a facial moisturizer to keep my skin from getting dry. I guess the true test will come during the winter when my skin can get very dry.
Scent: I got mine with Patchouli EO. Patchouli is a difficult scent to work with, but Al nailed it. I love the smell of Patchouli but I had Al add it to the ASB more for its skin-care properties. I would like to believe that it is helping my skin.
Overall: This is the best ASB that I have tried and I have tried quite a few (Wesley & Scott, SCS Sahara, PC Golden ASB, GFT skin food, Anherb…to name a few). All these are good but Al’s ASB is better in terms of the moisturizing and soothing properties. I never bother too much about the scent in my ASBs but Al got it right both times – with this ASB and the Cedar & Lavender bomb I ordered from him a few months ago. All in all Al’s ASB comes highly recommended.
