Thread: Near Mint Razor?

For what its worth, I have bought 2 blades from that seller, and they were even better than they looked in the photos.

You guys who were at the Rochester meet took notice of one of them. That minty and beautiful Torrey. And as far as I can tell, its not been "touched up"

I tried to pocket that Torrey. Had I been a younger man, I would have pulled it off. Of course, I would have found something valuable in my pants to cut in the pocketing process.

I have to post a follow up in fairness to this seller. I believe that he is an honest man. He comes out of the knife world, where the standards for judging the attributes are a bit different. When we here hear the words "near mint" we are thinking about something damn near shave ready. In re-looking at his pictures, they are very clear and the razors look un-fooled-around-with. That is something I can really appreciate in collectibility, as opposed to shaveability. So perhaps I was looking at things from a different perspective than him and thus judged him too harshly.

Nonsense , near mint means "like new" condition . No rust , no wear , no damage etc. Be it knives , straight razors , fishing rods , bicycles or whatever IMHO .
