Default Nice Mastro Livi on the bay

Mastro Livi Custom Straight Razor - Made in Italy - - eBay (item 160636955485 end time Aug-20-11 07:06:23 PDT)

Damscus blade and mammoth ivory scales. I bid it up to $701 but didn't crack the reserve so it's not going to join my collection. It's probably worth more but in these uncertain economic times that's as high as I was prepared to go.

Might be the picture, might be my new-ness, but the blade looks... off. I dunno.

The aesthetics are pretty awesome, as one would expect of Mastro Livi.

If you are looking at the close up of the back side of the blade I think it may be a reflection of the camera in the bevel. If not than it is 'off', but I think that is what it is. Not much of a description but for those who would be interested I guess the razor needs no introduction.

Very true. That's why I sent the seller a note with a few questions. He's not a straight razor user. It's never been used and he said if it doesn't sell, it'll go back in the bank vault. Kind of sad really.

I agree with Jimmy, it seems to be a reflection.

Those aren't so easy to get. I wonder where he got a new, unopened, never used one.

This razor can be unwanted present. That is why it is sold like this.
