I've been eyeing this DE for a bit of time, mostly because I'm a re-enactor who is in need of a good ww1 german shaver. I'd like a DE to go along with my straight, but am wondering if this is period-specific? I need something 1918 or earlier, from the German Empire.

It's certainly "of the period" but whether or not it's 1918 or earlier is hard to tell. It's a copy of a Gillette "Old Type" that ran until late 1920's.
