    Default 6/8 straight razor Gortz

    Hey guys,

I've seen that razor on ebay today and though it looks very nice IMO, it seems not to be much information about Gortz razors.
Are they any good? What would you guys say about that deal?

oh, and there's the ebay link

I haven't heard of Gortz razors so if you think it's worth it, then you should buy it. On the other hand, have you looked at the classifieds here? For the price of the ebay razor, you could get a couple of "Shave Ready" razors from members here. If you're new to straight razors, then the bay is not the best place to look until you are familar with what to look for and what to avoid. Just some food for thought.

It's a vintage Solingen blade -- they're good, as a rule. And it's in very nice condition.

Whether it's worth the asking price (compared to a new Solingen razor from Dovo / Boker / TI ) (or a less-expensive vintage Solingen from the "Classifieds" here) is really up to you.

    Ok,

    Thanks a lot everybody.

But after all, I think I prefer to keep the money and save up for a TI later.
