Quite the collectors item.

I find it unlikely any of these blades could actually be used for shaving today, has anyone ever opened a NOS box of blades? What condition did you find them in?

If the blade is oiled and wrapped in waxed paper and kept out of the elements, who knows.

I'm all about making the old useful again, but somehow it would be a damn shame if that display case disappeared from history.

Sure have. I've shaved with NOS Gillette blades from the turn of the century. The last century that is, early 1900s. I've shaved with W&B curved blades among other vintage blades. They were about like the old Gillette Blue Blades. I think that is where the term "having the blues" came from. Because if I had to shave with blue blades for the rest of my life, I'd have the blues. Give me a Feather or a straight any day and leave those old things in the wrappers for the collectors.

Edit; In case of any 'wise guys' that might be ready to pounce, I shaved with those early 1900s blades .... one actually ..... that was enough ... in this century. A few years ago. I'm old but I ain't that old.

250 is a bargain, I'd say. If I was in the states, I'd go for it.

I agree with Jim about shaving with the older blades, not good!! I was taken back by how poorly the Blue blades actually shave. New DE blades are much better and not expensive.

I would reserve opinion on how old blades shave unless I could go back to 1900 and shave with them newly manufactured. The blades themselves if the bluing is intact should be in good shape but the edge is another story. I remember my dad shaving with them years ago and he never complained about them and when he switched to the new fangled stainless his only comment was they lasted much longer.

I have some old Gillette blues but I wouldn't be shaving with them.
