Damn I hate non payers
I sold two expensive straights on ebay last week, a John Barber and a Joseph Rodgers. The same buyer, bought both. The buyer hasn't responed to two invoices or a note asking him what's going on. It's now been 6 days. What a waste of time and effort. It's bad enough that ebay won't let Paypal release funds for up to 21 days now but putting up with non payer just sucks.
Anyway, I think I'll wait until tomorrow when it'll have been a week and if nothing, I'll send out second chance offers on them.

Bah that sucks...
Personally I always pay right after an auction have ended, best that way...

The original Skolor and Gentileman.
You probably want to first report the buyer as a non-paying and cancel the transaction, once that's taken care of you're not obliged to sell anymore and can do a second chance offer.
Unfortunately it happens. I had a guy once tell me - 'I dont have money to pay you', but he had been bidding high and winning auctions and continued after mine too.

I don't blame you for being really frustrated. That stinks! I generally pay just seconds after an auction is over.
I will say that I was the recipient of a really fine Dovo Prima Klang on a second offer because of a non-payer.
IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO BUY IT, DON'T BID ON IT!

I've taken your advise Ivan and listed the buyer as non paying. Apparently the buyer now has 4 days to respond. If he doesn't complete the transaction ebay will suspend his account. It also means they won't charge me the selling fee on the transaction. I think I'm still able to do a second round offer after that which would be good.

I hate it whe they win, and then want to renegotiate the terms... They know that to relist is a pain, so they work you.

May your bone always be well buried
I wouldn't re-negotiate. I would just state, pay up or be reported as a non-payer!

Just a guy with free time.
I've been lcuky enough not to have any non payers yet. I did have a guy leave negative feedback without even sending me an email, or trying to say there was a problem. He gave negative marks for everything...Item desc., shipping, etc. I had to contact him to find out what the problem was and he said he "thought" the item wasn't accurately described. The guy didn't want to give it back, didn't want a refund, nothing(he got a really great deal)...Just wanted to leave bad feedback and go on his merry way. Which is exactly what he did, since Ebay won't let the seller leave anything but good feedback.

And once you get your fees back you can not give any feed back. The buyer had 7 feedbacks, total. All positive. But when I looked at them 3 were actually negative in content. Now, I guess that meant the seller did not get his fees back but he got to say something that others might not read till too late.

Helper...
This is why HONEST feedback is so important, for both buyers and sellers.
