This thing is getting a lot of attention -- deservedly so, I think -- any idea who made this?
It's just stinkin' gorgeous.

I always thought they were made by Koeller or is it Koheller one of those spellings![]()
As Glen said, some of the old ones were made by F. Koeller - there are stamps on the blade and labeling on the box, but we don't really know if that's their only contractor. I don't think I've seen other manufacturer's stamps though.
Edit: Just noticed the power of sniping - went up by almost $100.
AFAIK that is correct. Koeller made sta-sharp marked razors of their own that are identical to the Sears/Craftsman versions save for the chromized steel etch. Ern also made Craftsman razors for sears, I have one and it is good but I think the Koellers are a cut above ..... no pun intended. At least one other outfit made Craftsman razors if not more but Koeller was the only one to brand them sta-sharp unless I'm badly mistaken.
I've been looking for one of these for a long time and getting outbid every time. This was a nice 6/8 so I sniped it a bit higher than I might have. I got it for a couple of dollars under my top end so I can't whine too much but I can't help but wonder how much more I may have paid due to the interest generated by the original post while the auction was still live.

These go for more than you would think. I picked one up on ebay a little over one year ago and paid just a shade more than this one went for. I felt a little buyer's remorse for a while, but I've seen others go for the same price range. It depends on how determined the other bidders are. Mine was NOS with a beat-up box, but had never been honed before. The first shave took care of any regrets that I had. That Kayser Ellison steel is very good.
