    Default Classifieds flooded?!!

I've noticed the classifieds here on SRP are flooded with good quality razors but noone is buying. And no I don't have any listed but it makes me weary to post anything for sale cause of this. Any thoughts why people aren't buying?!!

Maybe the spirit is willing but the wallet is weak ? No one has posted any 'must have' razors for me lately.

And another thing...what is the deal on everyone thinking the bigger the blade the better it is? There are tons of very good quality highly collectible razors 4/8 to 5/8 that work on your wiskers just as well. It seems like if its not 1 1/4" and says Wade & Butcher its crap.

I don't follow the classifieds all that religiously, but I was under the impression that there was a bit of a turnaround in there?
Personally I have bought some 30+ from in there

    I happen to love crap!
I think it's hard to make a really good deal in the classifieds here, I for one can't afford to pay what stuff is really worth, sorry!

I peruse the classifieds all the time. I am not saying I am picky but I don't plan on owning a bunch of razors. I think 10 is where I will stop. A seven day set and maybe a few nice ones like my Livi.

With that said I don't buy often but I do buy. The last razor I got from the classifieds was a 6/8 Mappin Bros. Wedge.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

I check the classifieds everyday and have bought several in the past 2 months. I say put yours up and lets see what you've got. I think it is matter of what attracts a potential buyer. I personally also look for prior feedback of the seller so that I feel some level of comfort when buying.

I just think we sometimes hype up certain razors which don't get me wrong are very high quality shavers like W&Bs that the rest of the razor world suffers. I don't know...like I said it makes me weary about putting something I spent 20 or more hrs on cleaning it up and making custom scales for to turn around and wait 2mths to sale.

I can’t speak for anyone else but I can say that after spending some time with this hobby, I’ve tried a good handful of razors. And at this point its not really about the next razor I see available but more about what is on my “list” of razors I wish to have. I compare it to wine. In the beginning a lot of new people will (and should) taste everything under the sun. Later they begin to recognize what they really like and see the array of choices as noise or clutter to be waded through on their way toward the ones they really want. And of course there are always multiple buying options. Our message board competes with eBay and other sites. If you don’t think people are buying, go to eBay and watch any sweet looking razor. It’ll go for sure. You might also see this as potentially a bit of a correction in the price of razors. There may be too many cleaned up Wade & Butcher FBU at $350 for this small market to bear.

It depends exclusively on the buyer. Some just want to expand their collections with quality vintage razors (no matter the make or type), others are waiting for the Big One.

IME I've bought all my wished-for razors from the classifieds and yes it does take time and patience, especially to find something for the right price. And yes, that's my way of stating that I belong to the latter group.
