Looking for advice from UK members
Hi
I'm living in Scotland and need some advice in buying a shave ready razor and strop. I am not sure of the best place to by these items. Kenrup has a starting kit, razor with strop which is at a price I can afford though I'm a little concerned with custom stopping the package. Will this be ok or since it could be called a weapon would it be trouble should customs stop the package. Is there a UK or European seller/site which any body could recommend, bearing in mind I wish to save my money until I get more experienced with a razor.
Any help an advice would be greatly appreciated.

Shouldnt be a problem as long as you pay any taxes involved. But lets wait and see if some of your countryman have other opinions or advice.

The original Skolor and Gentileman.
No, it's not a problem at all. You may want to check with Makar, who's also in Scotland - he may have good advice for you.
Ah, and welcome to SRP.

Hi,
I would highly recomend Steve at The Invisible Edge. He supplied me with my shave ready razors and strop. He also has starter kits that include the brush, soap etc. Have a scoot round his website. On a personal level, Steve has been very helpful with advice and his delivery times are really quick.

I would second using Steve at Introduction to razors he carries great DOVO stock and the inexpensive Wappi's. He is also one of the few who knows how to hone a razor properly and does it professionally for a living. Give him a call.

Another recommendation for Steve and The Invisible Edge. Check out his vintage shave readies too. Some lovely (and reasonably priced) items there. If you want hand made strops, Tony Miller at the Well Shaved gentleman (tho not in UK) is a joy to deal with and his goods are astonishing, particularly for the price. My experience of both these guys has been exemplary.
