I got my first str8 from SRD about a month ago. After shaving for about three weeks with no advice and the little knowledge I had learned the way, I was using my styptic quite a bit. After finding this site about a week ago, I am getting better shaves and didn't need my styptic at all after my shave today.

I very much appreciate all the information that experienced shavers are passing on. I am 48 years old and have never known another straight razor shaver. This is my my only source of information I have, and it has already me with the quality of my shaves.

Hi Dave, Great to hear that you're getting better shaves since coming to SRD. Worked that way for me too. I don't know if it is a good idea to display your email addresses in your sig line. Spam bots as well as live spammers harvest email addresses where they find them. You can set your preferences for receiving emails and personal messages (PM) in your user control panel. Keeps it as private as you want it to be.

This would be an excellent welcome message that will help set the tone and mission of SRP to new members. SRP is an exceptional discussion forum and the only I choose to be a part of.
