Is my DOVO Authentic? Help!
Hello fellow members.
I'm trying to ascertain the authenticity of a "DOVO SOLINGEN STRAIGHT RAZOR #41" that I had purchase online.
There are several issues that have raised my concern; "gold-leafing is a bit off on the blade, the serration's/jimping on the bottom of the tang have been improperly ground/ inconsistent, the blade shape is tapering from 18mm to 17mm, a full 1 mm! ( not parallel ) with the top spine. The bottom spacer is not flush to the handle scales.
I feel that this piece could either be a factory second or a clever reproduction.!
I need your wisdom and feedback.
Thanks everyone.

Looks legit... depending where you got it from maybe it was a considered a reject or second.

Well Shaved Gentleman...
Looks genuine to me as well, although the original scales may have been replaced.

If you are unhappy with this razor please take it up directly with the Vendor and do so offline.

Perhaps the scales have been replaced, but I hardly would understand why anyone would make a fake Dovo.
While they are nice razors, they are certainly not what one would consider "High end". If I was going to fake a razor, I would fake one that sold for a higher price than that.
Wish I had an Inox!

it's genuine. The stainless 41 is a great blade and takes a wicked sharp edge. It's genuine just that QC at Dovo isn't what it used to be. if the issues bother you talk to the vendor.
