It's a clean 5/8 round point full hollow. As long as you get it properly honed, that will be an excellent starter shaver.

Being as Fox Cutlery is a well respected brand and given your S/N basically means "Fox Hunter" I would say that was a match made in heaven...

Get it honed up and start chasing the Fox

I noticed that too, but I thought he might have chosen the foxhunter name after buying the razor.

In any event...welcome to SRP. Be sure to read the Wiki, and be sure to have that razor honed (Classifieds, Member Services) before you try to shave with it!

    Best of luck!

Thank you guys so much for the warm welcome. I've been apart of Multiple Forums over the years for a few of my hobbies and I have never felt so welcome.
    I really appreciate it.

As for the "fox" Razor, that was actually a coincidence. I just ran a search for a straight razor in ebay between $25 & $50 and that one was the only one that wasn't rusty and was a name brand that wasn't on the list of Brands of Straight Razors to Avoid. I put in a bit of $27.00 was outbid then snipped with 30 seconds left and won for $30.00.
So after hearing that I did well, I am actually quite pleased with my self

As for the user name... it may seem trivial to some of you, but I am a huge fan of a game called Metal Gear; and FoxJaeger was actually after a character in the game called Frank Jaeger (who was a member of Fox Hound) and coincidentally "F" in the phonetic alphabet is "Foxtrot" but to make things easier... Fox.
I am also a Geek... but where i work, the geeks are called Genius. ^_^

Any who... I know I should probably check the classifieds for member services to get my razor honed, but just off hand how much does that usually run?

    p.s. sorry for the essay.

Everybody's services are a little different, but around $25 should get it taken care of. Depending on what all else might need done to it (taking out frowns, minor chips, etc.) it could cost more, or (if it's in exceptional shape) it might cost a little less.
