First Completely Straight Shave
Today was my first straight razor shave of my entire face and neck. The past few times I have shaved with someone experienced and when I got frustrated or too irritated I would switch to my trusty DE to finish up and save face.
Razor: Boker King Cutter
Lather: Tabac soap + Proraso shaving cream
Not a great success, but no cuts. Moderate burn on my neck and jawline. I did 2 passes, WTG and XTG, except on my cheeks where I did an ATG pass to compare.
I thought my neck would always be the hardest part, but my chin is not fun at all. My chin hair is very thick and requires careful attention to the razor angle. My upper lip was also a challenge to figure out.
Anyway, thought I would share. Thanks to everyone here for their encouragement and great reading on the forum and wiki.

Congrats on your first full shave. Now you'll start making headway on that learning curve.
Keep shaving and have fun!

Big Grats, Jordon
No blood? What's the matter? aren't you trying?
I was a bloody mess. Its a dang good start, and with that good a start, it won't be long before you don't look back. The difficult spots are the same as most of us - but you'll get that too. The irritation - almost ALWAYS from pressure. You'll get so the face is dang smooth and an alum block won't sting at all. It IS a leap - and you did it well. Keep going.

Congrats!! In time you will master the angles and pressures so the amount of irritation will be reduced.
