    Default First Full SR Shave

This morning I had my first SR only shave. While not perfect it is the first one I have been able to complete without feeling the need to go back over with a cartridge razor to get spots I missed. I finally feel as if I am starting to make some progress! Stealing from the SOTD crew here is how it went down:

Prep: Hot towel (x2) and Proraso Pre Shave Cream
    Brush: Simpson Beaufort B4
    Razor: GENCO Easy Aces
Soap: Van Der Hagen Deluxe (I know the cheap stuff)
AS: The Real Shaving Co Post Shave Soothing Balm
    Strops: SRD Red
Result: First full SR Shave with no touch-ups! Not perfection, but a pleasure none-the-less.

Bravo, well done! Although VDH Deluxe is firmly in the "Affordable Gear" genre. I think you'll find that lots of folks shave with it on a regular basis and a few shave with almost nothing but VDH Deluxe. While some of the spedier soaps have occassionally been a bit disappointing, I can honestly say that good old VDH Deluxe has never let me down.
