    grts,

Mr Dempster of The Invisble Edge, www.theinvisibleedge.co.uk & Mr Neil Miller of Strop-Shp, www.strop-shop.co.uk do excellent razor honing, and are a bit nearer to you than the 'States.

    have fun !

    regards

    Russ

Off hand, I don't know anyone offering honing services in Belgium. Bart, a member here, offers a free honing on a coticule if you register on his site dedicated to those wonderful Belgian pieces of rock, wouldn't be a long term solution but I've never heard a bad word against his edges. A little further from home but still in the EU are Steve Dempster and Neil Miller both of whom are members here. Rasurpur in Germany has a good name too. Good luck.

By all means go to coticulebe here and send Bart a message. He will get you started. He is in Belgium so would be your closest and best bet.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

You can have a small coticule of 15 x 4 cm for 42 EUR over at Ardennes Coticule. It may seem small but it really suffices to get a razor in shape. Bart's coticule.be site mentioned above explains very well how to use it.

I could also show you how I hone my razors but honestly I don't trust my own honing enough at this point, I need more practice.

The one I have is +/- 14.5 x 3.5 cm and is according to another member I showed it to "nearly perfect size" for honing a razor. That being said, I also think that a slightly larger one may be handier because less strokes to do (?), but is it necessary ? Nope.

Also, there's the difference in price . You can always start with a small one, I don't think you'd lose a lot of money (if any) if ever you decide it's too small and want a larger one.
