    Default SRD Stephens Woodworking Brush

When I saw these brushes on Don and Lynn's site (Straight Razor Designs, The Finest In Gentlemens Shaving And Grooming Needs) I wanted to give one of them a try. The price was fantastic for a silvertip badger. They also looked great. I purchased the 24 mm Silver Tip in Cocobolo.

When I opened the box I was a bit surprised how tall it was. The wood was beautiful. The next morning I used it with Colleen's Sandalwood shave soap. It took very few swirls to gather the needed soap in the hairs. Then it off to the lather bowl to generate the desired lather. Again, it didn't take nearly as long as it did with my previous brush. That brush was a Vulfix Super Badger. They cost virtually the same, but the difference in performance was like comparing a VW Beetle (the Vulfix) to a Ferrari (Stephens brush). As I already said it was easier to produce the lather. The brush stayed warm throughout my shave and there was still lots of lather at the end of the shave. I was so impressed with it that I purchased another and am eagerly waiting its arrival.

I know that a review should be spoken from a neutral point of view. Sorry, the brush is that good.
