Thread: ShaveMac 410 28mm Silvertip brush / Faux Ebony

I have owned this brush since Oct 2007 so I have had more than enough time with it...

Since that time I have added several other Silvertip brushes and I have found that for me the 24mm is the ideal size but I still love this big olé bear...
These bigger brushes can sometimes be a bit of a lather hog, but 3 full passes is no problem for them..

This brush over the last 2 1/2 years has maybe shed 10 bristles and 5 of those were in the first week LOL..
As noted in the old thread this brush still has a twofold feeling when being used that has not changed over the years, the tips still give that wonderful scritchy feeling and then you mash it down the brush becomes a huge warm mass of softness..
One of the other stand out qualities of the big ShaveMac is the ability to lather anything, from Shave creams, to Glycerin soaps, Hard Milled soaps and even my favorite Uberlather I have never lacked for a good creamy lather... The density of the knot just works through them all and whips the lather up quickly and easily...

This is a good solid investment in a quality brush..

The only minor knock I gave it was over the years the name has worn away somewhat, so it got an 8.5 in the craftsmanship column and that might be a bit harsh on it...

As always I don't rate for price, because you either step up to the plate or you don't... This is a brush that I would highly recommend, but really think about the size before buying one that is this big :)
