Trust me - I know what I am talking about - synthetic badger is better

My father was an engineer. He used to tell me that sharpening a straight razor is like trying to build a ladder to the moon out of a roll of aluminum foil.

I have an Omega synthetic that I like very much. Doesn't stink.

I have several synthetics, which I like just as much as my two badger brushes. The good ones aren't a step down.

I have some synthetic brushes that work real well but I am still partial to a nice 2 band silvertip with soft tips and a dose of backbone. Actually I like boar, synthetics and badger brushes just don't ask me about horse hair.

You just can't beat a really nice quality 2 band badger set at the right loft for softness AND backbone. I have used many synthetics but none have been the equal of my higher quality badger brushes.
