Default Need Help with old badger brush bristles breaking

I got an old badger brush and the bristles are breaking off. It got a little better after using. Is there anything that I can do to preserve the badger hair? soak in conditioner overnight? Thoughts?

    Thanks!

Are the hairs just coming off the knot or are they actually breaking? If they are breaking the brush has probably seen its better days if its the knot unraveling or something like that it could probably be fixed but probably isn't worth the effort. Yea, buy a new brush!

This may sound off the wall, but what do you have to lose.

You may want to try rejuvenating it using one of the many products marketed to women for damaged hair. It may be worth consulting the person who cuts your hair.

Like I said, a bit out there. If it works, you could develop and market your own product line.

Try applying Regaine twice a day.

Guaranteed to increase the volume from a 24 knot to a 30 knot or your money back.

Thanks for your humorous replies. It's breaking off, not coming out at the knot. I'll dig around and find some rejuvenating conditioner and try it. It seems to be less since I started to use it.

And yes, I'll look into getting a new brush, but I really ought to hold down the spending for a little while.
