Gents,
I use talc or gold bond around my neck to keep my shirt collars nice. I have traditionally put it in my hand and slapped it on but this of course makes it go everywhere and sometimes gloops it on.

So I have my first badger bruch and while I don't use it much except for traveling I don't want to mess it up either. Does anyone know if I put the talc/gold bond on there and use it for that if it will screw it up?

I would say No, it won't screw it up. Be sure to rinse, and or wash your brush from time to time.

I wouldn't do it. The talc is fine stuff and it will settle into the knot and when you rinse it it will absorb water and get all gummy and make cleaning your brush that more difficult.

In the old days barbers used horse hair brushes to apply talc around the neck. You can still find them on Eboy.

Take Big's advice. I don't mean to steer anyone wrong, but I didn't see the angel of powder gumming up in there. At my work (hair salons), many HairDressers use cheap brushes to do the same task you've stated before. Perhaps a Barber will chime in and give his advice. All the Best-J
