Thread: old Stanhome brush

i got this brush included with a mug i ordered on ebay the other day. it's pretty old, the bristles are very hard. i'm guessing the bristles are boar's hair? i tried running shampoo through it a few times, and it doesn't help soften it at all. i have a few other brushes so i don't really care about the brush. i'm also just thinking about ripping the bristles out and getting a knot from the golden nib. does anyone have any suggestions on anything i can do to salvage it? has anyone even heard of the company Stanhome? i tried looking it up but didn't find anything about it.
