Dirtybird scuttle with web-like ridges. Anyone use it?
I went to check out some dirtybird scuttles and found an interesting option I had not seen before "web-like ridges" ?
Looks like it would be a homerun for sure but I'm curious to see if anyone here has one?
Also, any thoughts on the 2 sizes and which one people have liked better?
Thanks

Hello, Earthdawn:
I have had the Dirty Bird 1.5 and found its overall quality superb. I have come to believe anything Julie makes at Dirty Bird is bound to be top of the line, including the scuttle you're considering. I have never used that particular scuttle, but had read many positive reports on it.
Regards,
Obie

Striving for a perfect shave.
I've been thinking about getting a DB as well. Seeing the side by side line up in Zib's pic is a big help. I have a brush scuttle, but it's only large enough to place a brush in to keep it warm. There's little chance of building lather in it.

I have a DB 1.5 with the spider-web ridges and I had her make a "dribble" port in it (essentially a hole high up on one side where I can dribble hot water into my lather to moisten). It's incredibly well made, Julie is a joy to work with, and the scuttle does everything it's supposed to do. I can't say enough good things about it!

i have the standard size dirtybird with just the swirl design and it builds fantastic lather.. the brush i use only has a 20mm knot.. but i'm able to build tons of lather and it's quite warm.. i have a feeling the web design is probably just aesthetics at this point.
