    From left to right:

First, the lowest quality of brushes, the badgers. A pure badger by Edwin Jagger and a custom made silvertip by nib

In the middle, the intermediate quality of brushes, the horses. First a no-name Turkish horse brush, second the Spanish Vie Long horse brush, and then another Turkish horse brush from bestshave.net.

Finally, at the right, the best of quality in shaving brushes, the boars! First a German boar brush, in the middle the Italian Omega 102, and in the end the King of all brushes, the famous Omega 48, the soap killer

Here are some of my brushes. The only one I really don't care for much is the boars hair because it just doesn't hold water. I really like firm brushes that can be used with soaps and creams. I am settling into 24-26 mm knots as my personal sweet spot on size. I am quite fond of Thater, Rooney and Simpson brushes.

I used one brush from around 1972 or '73 until finding the forums in '06. Had a case of SBAD but got over it. Name: MVC-003F.JPG
