Default Simpson Polo 8 Three-Band Super Badger Impressions

    Hello all,

Firstly, I do not own the Simpson Polo 8 Three-Band Super Badger brush. I was hoping that I could get some feedback from the guys that own it and use it. I recently purchased a Two-Band version of this brush model, but will be sending it back. I was unhappy with the density of the knot in the brush. The Two-Band Super Badger hair used in the Simpson brushes has thick bases with thin tips. This means that loft has to be lost in order to gain in density. Unfortunately, my brush has too high a loft for my tastes, and I can tell that to get the right density with this model, a humorously low loft would be required.

What do you guys think about the Polo 8 Three-Band? I personally love the long handle, and I think that knot size is just right - 25mm knot diameter and 50mm-something for the loft height.

    Thanks for any help.

I've got an old Somerset Simpson 2 band Polo 8 that is bad to the bone. Delightful scritch , dense and mucho backbone. I don't know about the production coming out of Vulfix but from what I've read a lot of guys really like them.
