Default Are these a good deal for $25?

HI! A FRIEND OF MY WIFE SELLING THIS, CAN ANYONE TELL IF THESE AN OK DEAL FOR $25? (SOAP, WOODEN BOWL & BOAR BRUSH) I'VE NEVER HAD THIS MAN CAVE BAY RUM SOAP BEFORE, & TO ME THESE LOOK LIKE A LOWER-END WET SHAVING SET

WHERE I LIVED DOESNT REALLY PROVIDE WET-SHAVING STUFFS, I THOUGHT INSTEAD OF ORDERING FROM INTERNET, I COULD HAVE SAVE SUM MONEY ON THE SHIPPING & DOESNT HAVE TO WAIT 2 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY .

    THANKS..

(BTW IM NOT SURE IF I SHOULD'VE POSTED THIS ON THE BRUSH OR SOAP SECTION, I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE)

We can't do valuations here. Are you happy to pay $25 for that set? If so then it's a good buy.

From what I can see it looks reasonable (though I've not heard of Man Cave so I couldn't say if their soap is any good) but only you can decide if you're happy with the price and product.

What is the worst that can happen, you don't like the soap or the brush and you end up with a spare brush and a nice looking container for your next puck of soap. Better still, you like the soap and brush and you end up with some great lather for many shaves to come.
    Just my take on it.

Looks good to me if you want a synthetic brush and soap. Shaving creams go along a little better with badger brushes, but if you plan on shaving with just soap, synthetic brushes are better for that. It's just a preference, really. I have thought about buying a good synthetic brush and try shaving with just a soap when I run out of my shaving cream. Might be worth it if you wanna give it a shot.

Not knowing if that boar is of any quality, and neither the soap, it is hard to put any value on them. The wood seems nice tho. A nice hardwood soap bowl suits my tastes real fine, and you can always put a new knot in the brush if it is bad. You'd still end up with a pretty matching hardwood set. It would be worth it to me

I'll second what was originally said. If you like what you have and it performs then it's worth what you paid for it. If not then it's not.

I have gotten a couple of shave soaps from man cave and been very happy with its performance. The brush that came with one that I bought left a lot to be desired.

Personally, I have never used the creams, but am perfectly happy using badger with soaps. I just recently started on a puck of Tabac, and love it.

Compare what you have there with this set from the same (?) brand. Looks like it's an artisanal soap (which doesn't say anything about its worth, a good shaving soap is hard to make) which is nice. Personally I prefer the earthenware bowl from the link.

Any references to a man cave site? Or reviews?
