Thread: My first Badger!

My first Badger brush, he said it is pure badger but from all the pictures I have seen it looks and feels soft like a Best badger I think. Beautiful bloom after using it. So much better than my Burma Shave clipped boar bristle it's ridiculous.

Nice stuff. Enjoy it and use it well. I have a few different badger brushes and boars as well and they are all enjoyable in their own way. That said, I don't know that I've tried a "clipped boar".

Up until just a few months ago, I had the same Crabtree and Evelyn boar brush for 10 years. The first time I shaved with my badger, well, I know exactly how you feel.

I agree it looks like a best which is the best bang for the buck type of badger.

The knot fell out so i rehandled it. I cut a piece of Bass wood from my Woods and Sanded everything by hand, then used a pencil grinder to make the hole for the knot to sit. Then used an Industrial Glue gun with the big sticks to fuse it to the handle. Oiled it with Neatsfoot then Polished the outside with Parafin Wax to hold out the water. It's not perfect because I don't have a lathe but I like it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had a boar brush and inherited a badger from my girlfriend's step father. I love it. It is so stinkin' nice on my face.
