Default Sound off on your new Thater.

I thought I would create a new thread so guys could discuss this in one spot.

    I'll start this off.

Mine arrived yesterday. My other Thater is a chubby 3 which is the closest thing to a classic 2 band I have ever seen. The group buy brush is totally different. It has none of the scratchiness like the other or any classic 2 band and is much more like a typical silvertip only it has no floppiness and has some backbone to it.

It's truly a unique brush and is a middle step between the classic 2 band and typical silvertip probably leaning more towards the typical silvertip variety.

It's a worthy brush to add to the collection and is equally at home with all types of soaps and creams and the ergonomics are pretty darn good too.

I used mine for the first time today. I chose Musgo Real cream in an SRD "bulldog" bowl. It's super soft to the face, but the firmness of the hair seems to keep the knot in it's shape, which aids application. My only regret is that I didn't buy the fan shape as well. I can't wait to try it with MWF.

The fan is a marvelously performing brush, I used it this morning with MdC. The brush is firm without the scratchieness some other brushes with backbone exhibit, lathers up well and holds the lather easily for 3 passes, this was an excellent purchase.

Looooove mine.. I got it yesterday and trimmed around my winter fur... then just HAD to use it today and went ahead and sheared off my winter coat... (Hope my chin doesn't get too cold before it grows back)...

It lathered better than any brush I have and went on smooth... I am officially spoiled.. Thank you again for the opportunity to get one of these..

Tried my first of two today. I went with the fan, because I'd never used a fan shaped brush before. As a result, I can't compare it from experience. What I can say is that it whipped up mounds of wonderful überlather with my Nomad/Bomb combination. The brush is a bit bigger diameter than I would say is my ideal, but it performed very well and I don't see it leaving my rotation anytime soon!

    Up tomorrow: the Bulb!

Used mine last night, had a bit of trouble at first getting a good larger but with a bit of working on water ratio it was great, the hair is so soft yet stiff, and I had to go with the only fitting razor for it which was my SRP TI which ended up as a great shave. It seems smaller than both my other two brushes but I still love it

My 2 showed up on Saturday while I was at work. The fan got used today with MWF and it's a soft tipped 2-band with some back bone. Not as much back bone as some other 2-bands and definitely no scritch.

My Thater's arrived on Saturday. Nice early Christmas present for myself...
Good all around brush, I broke mine in with CF sandalwood and cedar....
Nice soft tips, good backbone. Had two brush stands from SRD on stand by.

Thäter's suggestion to shake the brush only once is crazy. Either that or I don't like using as much cream as would otherwise be necessary.
Also, I wish I could afford to sleep on a bed made out of those things. I've felt baby butts coarser and floppier than it.
