Default where do i get a badger super sivertip knot from?

I just got a old barber's brush handle and I was wondering where could get a super silvertip knot from. I've never redone one, so any info would be great. Will post pics tonight.

You could get a knot from the golden nib: badger hair shaving brushes and knots, wholesale pricing

I haven't used them myself, but I've heard good things. It sounds like the "finest" grade is a good mix of softness and backbone for most, as the softer knots are a little floppier. However, you could probably set the softer knot a little lower, as the lower loft would add a little backbone to the mix.

    Yay for experimentation!

Golden nib is an excellent choice. I use their knots and I like them very much

Golden nib is the place, as said before. Take the A grade silvertip they are very floppy.

I do NOT want a super floppy brush, I prefer soft tips with a firm backbone. It's hard to discern, based on the GN site descriptions, if I should go for the super, best, or finest. It seems that everyone has their own definitions for those terms.

IMO, you want a TGN 2-band finest. And, i'd recommend the extra hair version. Soft tips and good backbone.

I just got my 24mm Super Silver Tip Knot in the mail yesterday from The Golden Nib, and it's sweet. For $33 you can't go wrong. I also purchased one of their acrylic brush handles. I glued it together with some 30 minute epoxy and used it this evening...SWEET!
