Stands in matching wood are fairley easy to make,be fine with D.Es or almost any razor.

Haven't had a chance to put it on the lathe yet, but here is my build-up for brush number 4.

The wife of one of my groomsmen has a lot of allergies... Would it be a good idea to use a synthetic knot for his brush? Or is it a non-issue for knots?

For that matter, what are the pros and con's of badger over synthetic?

I'm not sure if I should do some more decorative work or just keep it simple.

Does anyone have thoughts on my question in the previous post about knots?

My girlfriend has some rough allergies, my AoS pure badger doesn't bother her at all.

I have been reading up a bit on turning and I guess Purpleheart will dull your tools QUICKLY!
Might need to sharpen them multiple times for one turning?
