    Default 30mm Cocobolo/Moose antler

A brush I just finished up today made from Cocobolo and Moose antler. Lots of pics here, just to warn you.

This is the first brush I used the Hardwax oil finish on, and I must say it worked and looks fantastic on this Cocobolo. I wasn't sure how it would take to a super oily wood like this, but no problems at all. Really made this wood come alive with a deep, rich look to it.

One of my favorite woods. I made tampers and handles for espresso machines from it.
    You do wondrous work.

Thanks Richard. First time turning antler of any sort. I was a little PO cause when I applied the finish, my clothe took on the Cocobolo pigment, which then got into the horn pores. Lesson learned and next time I'll surely be more careful. In the end, most of the colouring seemed to have disappeared somehow.

Darn right. It's nose hair sticking cold right now. My basement is warm and has rock music playing!

    Nice looking work.

I think that I like the early pictures with no groove between the bone and the horn better.

Looks superb Andrew. That wood seems so dense, and has such gorgeous richness to it. Terrific accenting of the antler as well. Totally works together well.
