Thread: WTB: HELJESTRAND 5/8 in good condition.

I've been looking at these on the bay and whenever they pop on here. I love the swoopy lines of the tang and the overall composition of the razor. I've heard great things about them. I don't mind doing a little restoring. Would like one in good to shave-ready condition. Would also consider trades for one in my stable. I've got a couple of Bokers, Red Imp, and a couple I am rescaling.

Do you mean the thumb notched ones? They seem to come in two flavors - the ones with straight tang and the ones with thumb notch. Ivory? or plastic is ok?

I've got one I haven't finished. I've got scales, but just haven't pinned it. It isn't ready to shave, as I sanded some rust and pitting away, and then honed it on the 1k to get a bevel. It shaves arm hair. I haven't touched it since

If this fits the bill, do you have a wedge you'd consider trading? I've not shaved with one and am very interested in trying

I'm trying to get better photos posted, but keep bouncing into brick walls - by the way, that link is not the heljestrand, sorry! The photo that's there now is the heljestrand, but I'm having issues with my server now trying to find a better photo

The ones with the thumb notch...plastic is o.k...althought ivory would be cool

Has that been sold yet? I'm a little afraid to ask the price as they have jumped somewhat in the last year.
