Default FS: Fred Reynolds faux frameback

This is a real beauty of a razor, in my opinion one of the "must haves" for lovers of older English blades.

    • Sensuous curves: hump-back on a faux frameback
    • horn scales in great shape
    • blade hasn't been restored - unusually clean for something that old and not NOS
    • great heft
    • larger 13/16 or so blade
    • not shave ready

    Asking $100 shipped

    Thanks for looking
    Ivo

Ivo, I'm not seeing pics. Did you post any?

Yes, I did - and I see it; maybe something's wrong

    Cheers

Ivo, I think what Chris is trying to explain is that all the pics you posted look extremely dark and hard to see especially this one. I don't know what monitor calibration you are using but one thing is for sure. Those pics are pretty much useless especially if asking $100.00.

Interested buyers like to see a defined picture(s).

Here's what it should look like.

Is this this the same razor? Let's get things clear here. Thank you.

It's the same picture, cleaned up a bit.

    Gary,

unless his white balance was totally off I'm pretty much sure the colors are very close. Looks like a tortoise look a like but more transparent. We'll have to wait for the OP to give us a definite answer.

Yeah I got that much but Izlat normally posts great pics. Lets wait and see like you said.

The colors look proper for the mottled horn this is - it certainly is not tortoise - of all people Ivo knows what tortoise looks like Taking good pictures at low light is always tricky though - even in good light I often need to touch up the white level.
As far as the razor goes this is perhaps my favorite shape of the old english razors, but I like curves.
