Default FS: Reground Reynolds 5/8 notch point

I've had this one sitting around for a while, and I'm just now getting to posting it...

This razor is a 5/8 quarter hollow by Frederick Reynolds of Sheffield. I reground the blade to a high-shine satin finish. The regrind isn't perfect; the original grind was some nonstandard size, so there was a spot near the heel that I couldn't get quite right. It came out pretty nice, notwithstanding.

The scales are in very good shape--some of the nicest horn scales I've seen. No flaws to speak of. They buffed out to a beautiful shine. The spacer is pewter.

    It comes shave-ready, of course.

I'm asking $80 plus shipping. I accept PayPal. Please e-mail me if you're interested.

    Thanks,
    Josh

Wow, that sold in two minutes! Must be close to a record.

I'm feeling less grouchy. Maybe I'll hop in the car and find some traffic so I can live up to my handle...

    Very nice razor!

It's amazing to see how it resembles my W&B Medium Hollow Ground. They practically look identical except for the notch being bigger on the Reynolds..

My W&B gives me an exremely smooth shave.

    Glad to hear it!

I know nothing about Reynolds razors. But it looked nice, it was listed as shave ready by a highly reputable member, and it was well under $100 even including shipping to Canada. After having missed so many good razors the past few weeks, I just had to jump on this one!

Just to close the loop, this one is sold.

Two minutes is an eternity in BST.
