Thread: FS: 5/8 'Hand Forged, Blue Steel' Bengall Razor with box

Hi there guys,

Well I've got this rather unique, well preserved 1937 Bengall 5/8 straight razor. Comes with the original blue and gold box. The box reads "hand forged Bengall Razor" "1937, 5/8" and "Blue Steel" on the box lid.The razor has the Bengall name risen in gold on one of the scales. The blade is completely clean, free from rust and the steel has been 'Blued' chemically I suppose. The blade sings when lightly plucked and the steel looks to be really strong. It has a real keen edge and just needs some stropping to make it shave-ready. I hate to see it go actually since it appears to be quite unique, but, I must thin my collection since I need the funds.
