FS: 5/8 Dubl Duck Satinedge / Black Mairei Scales
For reluctant sale is my 5/8 Dubl Duck Satinedge spike, with custom scales made by Garythepenman in Black Mairei, brass spacer and pins.
I am quite reluctant to sell this razor, however I'm short of funds at the moment so needs must.
Let me start by saying the donor razor was purchased by me with cracked scales, after removing them and cleaning the blade it was sent to Lynn for honing, it was then to to Garythepenman in NZ who re-scaled it in rare black mairei which he obtained from a contact in his local woodturning club.
The razor has been a regular user of mine, and is an absulutely superb shaver - it was my favourite for about 12 months and has only recently been edged out. However, it's the only razor I ever nick myself with. For some reason I always seem to catch myself with the spike on this one, which is odd as its exactly the same size as my other spikes which I have no problems with - perhaps it's cursed.
Anyway it's in VGC, very little hone wear, and had just come back from another honing by Lynn so it's shave ready.
