Thread: FS: Joseph Rogers and Sons 1/2 Hollow, 5/8

This here is a 5/8 Joseph Rogers and Sons in good condition. I believe it is a 1/2 hollow. It is the exact same razor as this one, except the back isn't worked and it's a hollow instead of a wedge. Shave ready enough for me to shave comfortably. Also, the name is a little worn. Actually, it doesn't look worn, it looks like it wasn't stamped perfectly when it was made.

Very little hone wear, a few stains here and there, the tang has some pits. Pretty much same condition as the wedge I sold. Since it's back is not worked, and the name is less visable, I'll mark this one twelve bucks less then what the other one sold for. $48, shipped con-us.

If I hadn't just bought the worked back one 3 days ago... I'd take this one, seems like an excellent price. You keep dropping the price, you'll be paying me to take this one as well

Would this be a good razor for someone just starting out? Im looking to get into the game, and the price looks right.

It should be. My only concern is "Shave ready enough for me to shave comfortably.", but if you have a somebody local to you who can touch it up and make sure it's where it needs to be that shouldn't be a big problem even if it needs a bit of work.

Bump. I touched it up on the hone, and it shaves beautifully. Shave ready!

Indeed it would, IMHO. You sure can't beat the price and he just touched it up on the hone as well.
