Exclamation WTB: razor for a noob friend

One of my friends is going to have his birthday at the end of July. He has gone crazy about str8s, so I am thinking about a nice present. It should be round pointed, 5/8 or 6/8 in mint or excellent condition. As he is a beginner and got tough, dense beard, I am thinking about a more wedge / less hollow like razor. And, not to mention, it should be shave ready!

Any offers welcome! Please, do not forget to attach pics! Thanks!

I don't have one for sale but I might suggest a nice shave ready Wapi razor. They shave a tough beard well and you cant beat the price. Several people on the forum sell them. Wapis are about 1/2 hollow ground.

mint/excellent condition vintage razors tend to be more expensive, esp. wedges as these are generally older. of course there are exceptions - for example case has a wedge that often can be found relatively cheap. you can always buy a new dovo as well - their grind is fairly stiff, or the TI gnome I think is wedge as well. in any case your budget could determine a lot of your options, so giving some idea of what it is may be helpful.
give it few days and see what shows up.

I know that it is hard to get excellent or near mint condition str8s, but that is what I am aiming for. However, it does not mean that I would not take a look at razors in good condition.
By the way, is there such a thing as wedge razor with rounded point? Just wondering...
I willing to spend max. $90 on this gift. What do you think? Is that reasonable for such a razor?

yes, I have several. note that 'wedge' is rather felxible term, true wedge is very rare, so at what level of hollowing you start calling them wedge is somewhat arbitrary.

perhaps - you'll find out. the ones in my collection are significantly outside of your price range though.
