    Welcome,

One of the most interesting aspects of straight razor shaving is the maintaining of the razor's edge. Keeping the razor's edge sharp enough to give us a comfortable, close shave is accomplished by many methods. We are going to take a look at some natural stones that are often used to maintain the razor's edge. These stones are found throughout the world and this link takes you to the website "Razor love stones"
Special thanks to Straight Razor Place member Doorsch for providing this website to the straight razor community.

    Enjoy the journey,,,,,

    Welcome,
Honing with a Nagura stone is a method that many of us shy away from; probably due to a lack of understanding in their history and use. Follow the link below to an article written by Straight Razor Place member Mainaman where you can get some insight into this method of honing.

    Enjoy the journey,,,,

    First try with a Micromatic

In my opinion, FWIW, SEs are generally superior in shaving quality to DEs. There may be those who challenge this but most who have made the comparison

    Pipe of the Day

Cleaning a long clay pipe. I tried a bunch of times and the picture was sideways every time, so I guess you'll just have to turn your head.
