Honing and Restoration Services available. As the founder of the Straight Razor Place, the original and oldest straight razor forum, I have had the pleasure to sharpen virtually every brand and make of straight razor both old and new and introduce many of the honing techniques being utilized today. With well over 30,000 razors honed, you can be assured that your razor will be sharpened to provide you a great, close and comfortable shave. This service is for both new and used razors and your razor will normally be honed and returned within a week of receipt unless it is a restoration or repair. I will normally try to tighten pins or do minor repairs as part of my regular service and usually will try to clean up a blade too. Larger restorations like ding, chip and chunk repairs are no problem and I'll be happy to look at the razor and let you know on cost. I will soon be going into full restoration and making custom handles and straight razors. Blade restorations are available now. My goal is to provide you with a great sharpened razor that will allow you the utmost enjoyment from this wonderful art of straight razor shaving.
I make straight razors sharp and I make them pretty all day, every day.
Please contact me via PM in the forum or direct to lsabrams@charter.net for shipping information and postage information. You must include return postage in your payment, or with your razor.
Thank you,
Lynn

Gentlemen,
Lynn Abrams is my straight razor teacher and mentor. My straight razor guru.
He is also the sole caretaker of my straight razors. My personal honemeister. No one is allowed to touch my straight razors except him. After all, no one has Lynn's magic hone. I tell myself that every morning when I pretty up my Hollywood face with a straight razor honed by Lynn.
Do I recommend Lynn's magic hone? Does the sun rise from the east?
Of course I do — because the best is good enough for me.
Regards,

Mr. Abrams:
I purchased a straight razor off of the classifieds on here this past Friday. I cannot wait to get it in the mail. I'm so excited to start with the straight razor method that I think I will speak with a couple of the local barber shops about helping me get this one truly shave ready. I'm sure I will be purchasing additional straight razors as time goes on though, and at that point in time how would I be able to have you hone them for me and get them truly shave ready?
Thank you

've been shaving with a straight razor for a few years and had attempted honing on my own with little knowledge of what I was doing. As a consequence, shaving has become quite a chore.
I sent my razor to Mr. Abrams, and he sent it back promptly and securely packaged. That shave the next day reminded me of when it was brand new.
The skill of an experienced craftsman has reminded me why I shave with a straight razor in the first place. For that, I thank you.

I've read many of the comments by the members concerning the honing skills of Lynn Abrams. We all agree that his technique and the results, in the form of a ridiculously sharp razor are indisputable. I want to discuss his customer service skills, willingness to communicate his experience and just old fashioned "good guy attitude." Your going to be hard pressed to meet,(via email or phone call), and have the opportunity correspond with a nicer gentleman. Always, friendly and pleasant and always quick to dispense his knowledge and experience. I think he may be the reason why I continue to use, and cut myself with straights. Hopefully, with his help of course, i'll get it right someday. O'h yeah, he does a pretty good job or restorations as well. He took a razor that may have seen service in WWI and converted it inat a pretty good looking effective razor. Bravo to Lynn!

Purchased this service recently. Recieved the item back in a very short amount of time. Very satisfied with the results. Lynn even tightened up the pivot point for me. Very, very satisfied with the service.
