Default Obie in Wisconsin gets OCD

Yeah, he's happy. Obie is the proud new papa of an OCD 8/8's full hollow 3 pin razor. She has a Spanish point, jimps top, bottom and tail, and sports a satin finish.

Scales are stabilized redwood burl bonded to walnut for strength. This wood has a deep holographic effect...really nice. Hardware is ss screws and barrel nuts. The wedge is a contrasting polished brass.

I honed this puppy with my new Japanese natural Okudo Asagi finishing hone. She's laser sharp. (I'm even learning to hone a little better)

    As always, thanks for looking

Obie, it speaks ancient Assyrian to me in it boldness and bulk. A mighty Emperor would have been pleased to have wielded such a razor.

Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

    Bob,

My razor makes an entrance with assured swagger framed by inner strength, an attitude that says my majesty is real and I don't have to put on airs about it. Yes, the razor is worthy of my idle, the intellectual warrior king Ashurbanipal of ancient Assyria. I am pleased. I am ecstatic. Thank you, Bob Allman, for you are the master. And thank you, gentlemen, for the kind words.

    Gentlemen,
I had not realized what an artist and craftsman Bob Allman was. Yes, of course, he is highly respected among straight razor masters here. But Bob's work seems magical, as I discover. Good show. And on top of everything, he is a gentleman.
